Yes. Horror Intense is free to play in your browser. Credits are earned by playing — 140 for every escape and 45 when you fall — and skills unlock with matches played; they are never sold.

Do I need to download or install anything?
No. The game runs directly in the browser on computers, phones and tablets. Open the site, press Play and you are in the lobby.
Can I play online with friends?
Yes. Create a room, choose the map, the mode and your role, and send the room code to your friends. Rooms can be public, listed in the room browser, or private for your group only.
How many players are in a match?
Up to four survivors against one killer. Survivor seats nobody takes are filled by bots, so a match always has a full team.
Can I play alone?
Yes. In a solo match the other survivors are bots and the killer is controlled by the AI — a good way to learn the maps before playing online.
Can I play as the killer?
Yes. Pick the killer role when you create or join a room. There are thirteen killers, each with a passive trait, an active power (Q) and one weakness the survivors can use against him.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. On phones and tablets the game draws a virtual joystick and touch buttons for every action. Hold the phone sideways: the controls are laid out for landscape.
Do I need an account?
No. You can create and join rooms without an account; your credits and items then stay in your browser. An account with email or Google keeps your profile and progress across devices and lets you add friends.
Can the killer be killed?
No. Survivors recover the four computer files to learn the killer’s identity, power and weakness. A hit with the right weakness seals his power, makes him forget you and stuns him hard; ordinary weapons only stun and push.
What game modes are there?
Three: Standard Protocol (six tasks and four files open the gate), Blackout (generators, a lever and two minutes to escape the fire) and Captivity (keep the power on, rescue caged teammates and escape).
What happens if a player leaves during a match?
If a survivor leaves, a bot takes over the same character, position, health and escape state, and the match goes on. If the host leaves, the room ends.
Which languages does the game support?
English, Portuguese and Spanish. You can switch language at any time, in the lobby or on this site.
What is the age rating?
Horror Intense is intended for players aged 16 and over. It contains graphic violence and blood.
